Tbilisi is capital of Georgia, and you need to book your hotel in the capital as it is closer to the International Airport. I stayed in L-Plaza Hotel which was very neat and clean 3- star hotel.

Day 1

Djvari Monastery Complex

Jvari Monastery is a sixth-century Georgian Orthodox monastery near Mtskheta, eastern Georgia. It is built at the top of Jvari Mount (656 m), the monastery is an example of harmonious connection with the natural environment, characteristic of Georgian architecture.

Cave City

Vardzia is a cave monastery in Samtskhe-Javakheti (Georgia’s southwestern region). Queen Tamar ordered the construction of Vardzia in the twelfth century. It contained apartments dug out of the rock and outside terraces for cultivation. An irrigation system was designed particularly for this. One of the central places in the cave system is the Church of Dormition with distinguished medieval mural painting. You will need to pay for entry ticket at this place, its worth paying for.

Mtskheta

Mtskheta is a city in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti province of Georgia. Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers flow nearby and it makes it look more beautiful. Mtskheta makes an easy and enjoyable day trip from Tbilisi.

You can walk around this place and buy some souvenirs. Not only you can buy gifts but also explore traditional Georgian food. Undoubtedly you shouldn’t miss the fresh cut watermelons by the local vendors. It’s really tasty and homegrown organic fruit.

Zhinvali Lake

Zhinvali (Jinvali) Dam, also known as a lake is located on the Georgian Military Highway. Soviets constructed the dam in the 1980s. As Tbilisi was growing rapidly, there was a need for a new water supply. The government decided that the Aragvi Gorge rich with glacier water was the perfect spot

Gudauri

Gudauri is highest peak and it is famous for ski adventure. Apart from ski adventure you have para gliding and cable cars at Gudauri. If you are planning to visit in winter do not forget to get warm clothes. November to April is the coldest season . I went during summer time , the climate indeed was very pleasant .

Kazbegi

Kazbegi is further ahead of Gudauri ,where 2 wheel vehicles cannot access. You need to book another 4×4 vehicle for the bumpy mountain terrain. It is a whole new experience for a wonder-luster.

Tbilisi Botanical Garden , Mother Georgia, Waterfall.

After returning to the city you can get down to the old city for exploring the gorgeous city on your own. It is based on the high mountain and you can either go hiking or take the cable car. On top of it, you can see the Mother of Georgia statue.

The Mother of Georgia is 20m high and has wine in one hand and sword in the other. It is believed that wine is for friends and sword for the enemies.

There’s an entry fee for the garden and you can find some exciting cable cars for additional charges. You can explore the garden and can visit the waterfall inside the garden. You can take a dip in the small pond near the waterfall.

Day 3

Sighnaghi Bodbe Monastery

The Monastery of St. Nino at Bodbe is a Georgian Orthodox monastic complex and the seat of the Bishops of Bodbe located 2 km from the town of Sighnaghi, Kakheti, Georgia. Originally built in the 9th century, it has been significantly remodeled recently.

Wine Tour

To be honest we didn’t enjoy this sight because it involves wine tasting. Yes, we don’t consume alcohol so it was not that fun. But since I am an explorer I figured out the nearby lake and we went there .

Ilia Lake

If you are a Muslim and want to skip wine tasting you can go for this lake. You can do swimming,boating, cycling, and other activities near this lake. It is recommended that you carry your snacks as you wont find much options as this place is still under development.

Shopping

Once you are back in the city you can get down at Old Tbilisi City and go shopping. You can really enjoy the street shopping in the old city from clothing to traditional Georgian spices.

Hot-Sulfur Bath

This is very exciting as all your stress goes away after this relaxing and soothing sulfur bath. Yes, you read it right, Tbilisi has hot springs of sulfur and its healing benefits include treating skin irritations and infections such as rashes and eczema. Sulfur-rich hot springs are also thought to help treat dry scalp, arthritic pain, and internal problems such as menopausal symptoms and digestive disorder

Day 4

This day is finally checkout day, so make sure you didn’t forget anything valuable. You can check out early and keep the luggage at the hotel. Based on your flight timing you can explore the old Tbilisi City.

The Bridge of Peace

The Bridge of Peace is based on the Kura River in Tbilisi. It is linking the Rike Park with Old town in central Tbilisi. Peach Bridge is a bow-shaped steel and glass construction illuminated with numerous LEDs. Pedestrians can walk around and click pictures.

Tbilisi Zoo
The Tbilisi Zoo Park is the oldest and largest zoo in Georgia, in the country’s capital of Tbilisi. If you have kids or you are animal lovers you will definitely like it. The entry ticket is applicable and it doesn’t cost much.

Traditional Market

You can walk around the street market for shopping. Most of them are small size entrepreneurs. You can bargain as per your skills and get the deal done. Churchkhela is one of the most famous Georgian Traditional Sweet. If you are lucky enough you can spot them making fresh Churchkhela in front of you. These traditional sweets are made of nuts beaded on a thread and cooked in flour-thickened grape juice.

How I got scammed!

Even I was scammed by a travel company ” Yez Dreams Loyalty Card Service “. I visited the Sharjah Expo Center during the Ramadan Night sale and filled in some details for a raffle draw. Ultimately it was their modus operandi of collecting details for visitors.

Subsequently, after a few days, I got a call from one travel company claiming that I have won the gifts and discount coupons. They invited us to collect the coupon and gave a small presentation for their membership.

Undoubtedly I took a calculated risk of 10,000 AED and ask them to book an immediate trip to Thailand. They agreed to book it on an immediate basis but unfortunately, I didn’t get the flight on the desired date so had to change my itinerary to Georgia.

So before providing any details to anyone ask them about their company name and identity card.

• Don’t share your details in any unofficial surveys.
• Do not leave your contact details on social media.
• Buy from the official website.
• Cross-check domain of the sender.

The major source of corona cases was airports. Some passengers showed the symptoms while some didn’t even get a fever. Subsequently, airports are following strict rules these days. Undoubtedly all the airports are implementing disinfection programs at their premises. Not only thermal screening devices are being installed but self-declaration forms are being provided to the passengers. Web Check-in is mandatory at major airports and E-boarding passes and baggage receipts are accepted. Apart from this staff are being trained for maintaining distance and hygiene on board.

Tips : Carry gloves ,masks ,sanitizers , carry less hand carry, use disinfectant wipes before using toilet.

Traveling Safely: Trains

Each country has its own protocols and safety guidelines. While trains are not in operation in some countries. Here in UAE, it is mandatory to wear masks, and safety distance signboards are mentioned in passenger seats. Alternative seating arrangements are being done. For a long train journey pack your snacks according to your traveling time. Use your elbow or hips for pushing doors and do not touch your face. Traveling Safely: Roads

Traveling via road is considered safer compared to other modes. Cabs and buses are following the proper guidelines. They are deep cleaning vehicles after every ride, face masks and gloves are mandatory, and seat blocking for passengers. For private cabs temperature of driver and passengers are monitored. Protective shields are installed in cabs between the front and backside for safety of drivers. The following practices are followed:

Traveling Safely: Staycation

Most of us are eagerly waiting for the stay-cation. To ease mental pressure stay-cations are necessary. Hotel properties are training staff on hygiene and respiratory etiquette. Sanitization of rooms and common passages. In order to stop the infection chain, strict kitchen guidelines have been followed.

• Avoid touching or resting elbows at the check-in counter.
• Clean bottles, glass or any other items before touching them
• Do not use gym equipment at the hotel, work out in your room

Just because you are getting bore at home no need to go out unnecessary. Try placing an order online on Amazon, JIO Mart, etc. Prioritize your needs and check out this list before going out for shopping. I have already made an essential checklist for grocery shopping. Apart from this check with your local grocery store if they can do home delivery. Last but not least order on Amazon Prime. It’s easy, contactless, and bundle of discounts.

Dining options are few but new techniques are in process for the safe dining experience. Zomato is promoting contactless ordering options via its app for ordering food. All you need to do is download the app and check options for contactless dining. Once you visit the restaurant you can order the food by scanning the QR code of the food.

1st October 2021 is the new date for Expo 2020 Dubai and will run until 31st March 2022. The question is will it be still called Expo 2020? LOL. Clearly it’s not a good time for any exhibition, postponing it will ensure a good number of foot walks.

The announcement came after considering all the factors on the world economy. The World Expos body approved the Expo 2020 Dubai delay as right and responsible decision. Delay will allow the participants to move around the world safely. In addition to this it will also help the scientist to develop and identify a solution to COVID-19.

What is Expo 2020 ?

Expo 2020 is a world expo to be hosted by Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Originally it was scheduled to be open on October 20,2020 till April 10, 2021. It has been postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.

This indeed is a great relief as UAE was expecting people from across the globe. Various pavilions are already being set up at the Expo 2020 site. The world in one place as more than 100 countries are participating in the expo. It will be full of excitement as not only it has pavilions, but live shows, entertainments and restaurants are also there.

Best time to Visit Dubai

The Middle East is known for there desert and hot temperatures. Dubai temperature varies throughout the year and summers are unbearable. Some attractions are closed during the summer season. It is advised to check the attraction details on google maps and visit their website for more information. I recommend you to plan your visit from November till March. Accommodation

Whether you are a solo traveler, couple, or family or a group of friends Dubai visit will never fail to amaze you. Based on the group size and budget you can book accommodation. The more you pay the more privilege you get. Also price varies from location to location. I recommend to stay in Bur Dubai as it has got good connectivity. You can also look for a hotel apartment if you are planning to cook food on your own. I recommend using a booking.com application for exploring various accommodation options.

Tips : Check property details on booking.com app for bathtub, free gym access, pool access, etc. If you a baby you can request a cot.

Transportation

Road Transport Authority is well organized in Dubai. Taxi, bus, metros, trams are available at almost all the locations. Google Maps is also very handy for getting a ride mode of transportation. Uber app, carreem app are recommended for booking cabs. For using the metro and RTA bus you will need an NOL card. NOL card is a prepaid card that is required to swipe at entry and exit points.

Food

If you are foodie , you need to control your emotions. Dubai offers wide range of cuisine with finger biting taste. Sea foods, Mediternian , Indian, Chinese ,Mughlai and what not all are availble in Dubai. If you follow me on instagram you might be knowing the right place to visit. Zomato, Deliveroo, Uber eats, Talabat , etc will come handy for selecting restaurants.

Advance booking

Most of the places advance booking is not required. You can access the attraction by paying via NOL card or buying tickets on the spot. Dubai fountain is free of cost. For visiting, Top of Burj Khalifa advance booking is required. Same goes for desert safari, book it according to your requirement.

Itinerary for Dubai

One week seems less for Dubai,but you can plan accordingly. There are some additional places you can explore if you have local friends or family. Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain and Jebel Jais are mountain peaks in UAE and it requires half of your day so you can skip it.

Day 1 : Burj Khalifa , Dubai Mall, Fountain.

Visit Burj Khalifa in the morning and explore Dubai Mall. Dubai Mall is very huge so make your you take your pain killers LOL. You need to walk a lot inside the mall. Relax near the fountain and enjoy the show.

Day 2 : Palm Jumeirah , Desert Safari

Start your day by visiting Palm Jumeirah . You can take a tram as well to explore the fascinating view of the Palm shaped island. By noon you can go back to your pick up point for Desert Safari. Desert Safari usually starts at 4 p.m so you can have your lunch by that time.

Day 3 : La Mer Beach, Kite Beach , Jumeirah Beach Burj Al Arab

Cover Jumeirah stretch on 3rd day. La Mer beach is referred for fine dining and shopping. You can spend some time at Kite beach and move ahead for Burj Al Arab. While going back you can hop on to Antar Cafeteria for tasty shwarma and burgers.

Day 4: Miracle Garden, Butterfly Garden, Love Lake,Global Village

Plan your trip to Miracle Garden, Butterfly Garden, and Global Village. All these attractions are close by. You can start your visit by Miracle Garden. The butterfly garden is opposite to Miracle Garden. After finishing the Butterfly garden you can take a cab to Global Village at a very reasonable rate. Undoubtedly you will enjoy global village to the core.

Day 5 : Abu Dhabi, Grand Mosque , Ferrari World, Yas Island

Start your trip by visiting Ferrari world early morning. If you intend to visit Ferrari world you need to spend the entire day. Its up to you for going inside Ferrari World or Explore from outside. After this, you can move to visit Grand Mosque. After finishing the Grand mosque visit Marina Mall and Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Day 6: Dubai Museum , Meena Bazar , City Centre Naif Souq.

On the sixth day, you can dedicate yourself to shopping. Shopping is attractive to women and indeed to many men. You can visit Dubai Museum in the morning hours and spend time around Meena Bazar. After finishing shopping you can take abra ( Boat ride ) at 1 AED to travel to Diera. Diera is the busiest place for tourists. In addition to this prepare your shopping list in advance to utilize your time. Last but not least prepare your budget as well.

Day 7: Theme parks.

Theme parks like Motion Gate, IMG World of Adventure, etc on the 7th day. Also, you can go for a Dolphin show or sky diving based on your interest. Please note Friday and Saturday are weekends in UAE so timing may affect your visit.
