What is Dalgona Coffee ?

Dalgona coffee is a thick, creamy, frothy iced latte. It is a beverage made by whipping coffee until it becomes creamy and then adding it to chilled milk.

Why Dalgona Coffee is trending ?

Who doesnt love coffee ? and second its photogenic, its all for the gram ! It was made popular by a South Korean actor who visited Macau where he was served the drink, and later presented it on a South Korean TV show called Pyunstorang (“Fun-Staurant”). So even if you are not a coffee fan you can try it for the sake of gram ,who knows may be you will fall in love with coffee .

Steps to make Dalgona coffee?

It is pretty easy to make, and I can say that you’ll have the five ingredients you need to make it in the house:

1. 2 tbsp instant coffee
2. sugar as desired or 2btsp
3. 2 tbsp hot water
4. 500ml milk
5. Ice
6. Whipping tool

Method

1. Add the coffee, sugar and hot water together in a small bowl. ( more the sugar more the fluffiness )

2. Whisk it by hand or on a high speed mixer (for more fluffiness) until it thickens and peaks are formed. 

3. Grab your milk and heat it up. Then add one or two scoops of the coffee mixture on the surface of your milk.

That’s it! It’s pretty straightforward and has actually been around for a while, but only recently started picking up in trendiness. If you dont have any speed mixer , than good luck with your hand and beat the coffee for atleast 20 minutes .
