The report in as-Saheehayn from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “When Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are put in chains.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (3277) and Muslim (1079).

Ramadan 2020 hopefully will begin on 23rd April 2020, according to a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, UAE. The exact dates will be confirmed by the moon sighting committee. It doesn’t matter if it starts on 23rd or 24th, you should worry about how prepared are you during this lockdown Ramadan. All that privileges you had before are being locked down. Now is the time to realize how poor spends their Ramadan. This lockdown is an eye-opener for humanity.

Empty Mosques: Ramadan in 2020

Ramdan in 2020 will be spent at home. Prayers are not allowed at mosques due to corona virus outbreak. We should abide the rules and regulations provided by the authorities and worship at home.

once I was in prayer at mosque before the lockdown,a person next to me was coughing. Though my attention should be in prayer I was more worried about the risk of getting sick. It was distrubing and distracting. Hope my prayer was accepted. The moral of the story is pray at home and focus on your connection with Allah SWT.

Lets be positive during this Ramadan and pray together for a better world. Taraweeh can be prayed at home. One can hold the Quran and recite it while praying. Your intention is important, so make proper intentions for welcoming this blessed month. Prepare a to-do list this Ramadan as we have plenty of time. Memorizing Quran is a very exciting task this Ramadan. Internet challenges may come and go, but memorizing the Quran challenge is forever. I know its too much, but you can start with your favorite Surah. My favorite surah is “Surah Rahman “. I challenge myself to memorize Surah Rahman. Apart from this try to learn tafseers, please note Tafseer and translation are different.

Empty shops: Ramadan in 2020

Now is the time you change your habit of spending unnecessary on shopping. Maturity is when you understand Eid is not about shopping. Even though I was a spoiled kid, its been more than 7 years I buy 1 Kurta Pyjama for Eid. That’s the reason you see me in track pants and jersey most of the time. Iftar Buffet will be affected due to lockdown, the positive side is that food wastage will be less. People will prepare iftar according to the necessity. The best thing to do is have dinner right after margib prayer. It will help to prepare iftar in proper proportions.

Zakat: Ramadan in 2020

Zakat is one of the five pillar of Islam.Do not forget to calculate your zakat amount as it should reach to the needy before Ramadan ends. You can use this tool to calculate your Zakat. Zakat is the word of the Arabic language which means “growth”. It also means purification. But purification of what? As the fasting is the purification of the soul from evil, the same as zakat is the purification of your assets. Allah also says about it in the Quran:

“Take Sadaqah (alms) from their wealth in order to purify them and sanctify them with it…” (7:103)

• Jewelry like gold, silver, and any other precious jewelry items.
• Money that you have lent to someone.
• Stock or shares.

Someone rightly said that Indians need vaccine against stupidity. While many are chilling at their homes staying safe and relaxing. Police officers are on the street; risking thier safety, away from thier families and cannot enjoy the luxury to stay home.

When your kids don’t listen to you what do you do? shout at them? cut their pocket money? limit their TV sessions? and if nothing works you end up hitting them. Frustration and stress are the main reasons for such drastic measures. Similarly, police officers are under stress, they are on roads away from family trying to break the chain.

But there are people who do not care about the lockdown. These people harm themselves and are dangerous to others. They will never fail to prove their stupidity. A lot of violators videos have been circulating on the internet. Most of the violators are youth. They are charging them with batons is probably justified because – Lato k Bhooth Hatho se nahi Maante

Police Violence Lockdown Villians

It is very sad and disappointing when police misuse their power. In many cases, they don’t investigate the reason people are on the streets. Even if some people have a genuine reason to leave their homes; they have become victims of police brutality. Police do not have the right to hit civilians without any justification. One baton or two baton is more than enough to discipline the public. But hitting them continuously and brutally is not justifiable.

Some people have even lost their lives because of the police violence.

Lockdown death: Kin blame cops, cop claims Mumbai man is lynched for robbery

The kin of a 22-year-old Mumbai man on Monday alleged that he is beaten to death by police. After that he is found dead outdoors during the lockdown.

My uncle became an innocent viticim of such a crime. He is working at a NGO for providing medical supplies for the locality. Yesterday the police stopped his supply van suddenly and asked him to come out. The moment he stepped out police officer started hitting him without uttering a word. After 10 blows he said “where is your mask ? ” and gave the 11th blow.

My uncle felt so angry and he wanted to retaliate but he was helpless. My uncle had just removed the mask for drinking water a few minutes ago; he was not out on the street to break the law or challenge the authorities, but clearly the officer did not care. My uncle is now at home, waiting for the injuries to heal. he has a family of 5 and is the sole bread earner. Thank you police for your bravery.

Coclusion

Can Police be more Polite ? Imposing fines on violations is an alternative. Violence is not the solution.Government should define the penalties for breaking the law. Adhar card is linked with banks, police officers can note violators adhar number and penalize them. And if force is required it should be in proportion to the crime committed.

How to stop violators :

• Rs.1 lakh fine for a person deliberately transmitting the disease to others.
• Rs.50,000 fine if a person is aware that he have been infected and do not notify the authorities
• Rs.1 lakh fine for infected person leaving the house / hospital.
• Leaving home unnecessary Rs. 30,000 fine and vehicle seizeing.
• Leaving home without mask Rs. 20,000 fine along with above other fines.
• Rs.1 lakh fine for whoever invites or organises gatherings, meetings, private and public celebrations.

Bank can deduct the fines from violators bank account after their consent on the acknowledgement form with a 45 days notice period.

Lockdown is taking place all over the world and other countries are able to keep the situation under control without violence. I think education is the key. And there are a lot of other ways to control the public with do not involve brutality that our country can learn from.

Police se dar nai lagta saab, fine se dar lagta hai

should be the new formula to control the violence.

The number of cases of corona virus in India is increasing. The US is already planning to prioritize health treatment. Some guidelines are being reviewed and the scoring systems will be implemented based on factors such as age, life expectancy, health conditions, etc. Other nations will also adopt the same to fight with corona virus.

India will have no choice but to adopt the same scoring system to prioritize treatment. Who will you save A or B? If you have anti-virus in your laptop it will detect the virus and will try to delete it as your anti-virus knows the type of threats. But if its new virus, it will not be detected as a threat unless the virus infects /corrupt your files. Now, our body is like a computer/laptop and has its natural anti-virus to fight against external threats. Corona is new virus that our natural anti-virus doesn’t know yet and it takes time for our body to counter-attack.

Across the globe, there is a huge shortage of beds, medical staff, medical equipment due to this pandemic. Your clapping and dancing in the balcony will not help the doctors. And I am afraid that people will come on the road after the janta curfew as a celebration for defeating coronasur.

Corona virus in India

Indian population is about 1.37 to 1.4 Billion and its responsibility of each and every Indian to stop this pandemic. Do not neglect the instructions provided by the WHO and local health authorities. Italy is trying to warn us about their mistake, they had to call the military for carrying the dead bodies.

5986 new cases and 627 new deaths in Italy have been reported in the last 24 hours because they neglected it. Please try to understand the situation and contribute to the safety of your fellow Indians. India is one of the best countries in the world but resources are limited. Hence let the government utilize it in the best optimum solution. Masks are out of stock, thermal detectors are out of stock, infrared guns are out of stock, etc, how do we cope with this?

Apart from this, corona positive patients are detected by the SWAB test. SWAB test takes about 3-4 hours usually. But in such pandemic, labs are fully occupied and its taking 2- 3 days for the results. Doctors need lab results for the conclusion and final diagnosis. Patients can wait at home or hospital but the virus will not wait. If the patient stays at the hospital we will need more beds and if he goes home he needs to be in isolation. But do we have enough beds? Are we prepared?

Do not blame the government, it’s you !!! yes it’s you, you didn’t ask for a better health facility, better infrastructure, better schools etc.

Well you can think about bringing the change. You can raise your voice and start a blog.
